Smoothies are my favorite thing in the entire world. I literally love smoothies more than I love myself. My favorite part of the morning is waking up and blending myself up a good ol’ smoothie! Lately, I’ve been making the same smoothie everyday because I’m just so obsessed with it, so I decided to share it with you all!
I have been LOVING cacao nibs lately! As someone who isn’t a huge chocolate fan, I always stayed away from them. But when I saw these babies for sale at Whole Foods, I decided to give them a shot! They are loaded with antioxidants so I really wanted to like them! I was so pleasantly surprised. They don’t taste too strong like chocolate and they definitely add a cool texture to your smoothie! Feel free to add more than I did if you want a more chocolatey smoothie.
Hemp Protein Powder
This is my go-to protein powder. I find that a lot of vegan protein powder tastes super chalky so I just never used it. But this is the one protein powder that really tastes good to me.
I was so excited when I found Oatly Oat Milk in Wegmans the other day! I had heard such amazing things about it, but I thought they only sold it in the UK so I was pleasantly surprised to find it. I think oat milk is the best for smoothies, but feel free to add whatever non-dairy milk you please!
– Half a ripe banana
– 1 cup of frozen strawberries
– 1/4 cup of hemp protein powder
– 2 tsp of cacao nibs
– 1 cup of Oat Milk
1. Add frozen fruit to the blender
2. Measure out all dry ingredients and add to blender
3. Add oat milk
4. Blend for 30 seconds or until fully blended and enjoy!
Keep in mind, you can change anything with this recipe! What I usually do is buy whatever frozen fruit it on sale! Making smoothies everyday can get pretty damn expensive, so feel free to switch it up to fit you budget!
