Florida: Day One // Fort Lauderdale

Sunshine, Starbucks, and Sandwiches. If I could sum up by vacation in 3 words so far, that would be it.

For those of you who don’t know, I live in Boston. And Boston is very, very cold. So over winter break, my friends and I decided to copy the geese and fly south for the winter.

Day one was mostly a travel day, so I’ll spare you the details of delayed flights and crowded airports. But when we arrived, we were three hours early for the hotel check-in, so we decided to go grab a bite to eat!

The closest vegan restaurant was called the Green Bar and Kitchen, so we immediately ubered there to save ourselves from starving to death.

The menu was amazing! I wanted to get something simple, so I went for the GBK burger. It is just a veggie burger with avocado, but it was SO amazing! The burger was super flavorful and so filling.

After this, we headed back to the hotel. Since we were all super tired from traveling, today was a pretty chill day. We just walked around the area and hit up the mall to do some window shopping.

Being from a place that isn’t tropical, palm trees will forever fascinate me.

I really wish I had taken photos at the place we went for dinner, but I will absolutely be back there! It is a chain restaurant called BurgerFi, and they have the beyond meat burger! Needless to say, it was the perfect way to end the day.

I wish I had more to write in the post, but I don’t think you would like to read my analysis of the 4 episodes of black mirror I watched before bed. I promise the next few posts will be more interesting!
